Hmm, looks like you lost your blacks ... and thinned out the midtones.

I like them OK, particularly the first one...but the highlights are a little blown out, IMO. A little harsh.

I think I know what you mean, but I' not completely certain. I edited to try and keep the detail in the darker areas.

Thanks for the comments. I'll keep working on it. I was on the fence with 2 as well. Looks a lot better large - seems to lose something when resized.

The first one I like a lot. The wheel barrel got lost in the background initially. I make have gone too far trying to bring it out.

Here's the original - started out with a blown out background (yes I should have used fill flash).

I prefer this, the original file...it has enough space around the wheelbarrow to give us some contextual clues, like the highlights on the ground in the foreground...that shows us that this is underneath the shade of a tree...to me,the original is the best of them all! I think it needs to be darker though.
