2 for c&c from today

I went to a friends baby shower, and unbeknownst to me, i was apparently 'the' photographer! *cringe* not one other person took a single picture..

anyway, i was testing the lighting in the small space and i know they are over exposed, but any other c&c would be greatly appreciated. i live in one of those areas where everyone with a dslr or big bulky camera thinks they are a pro (or is that just everywhere) so real help from people who are truly dedicated to taking great photo's is a great help.

C&C per req:

I rather like #1, over-exposure notwithstanding. I would see if you can restore any of the skin tones in post, but it is a nice image. #2 isn't as strong because of the cluttered background and the blown areas appearing more prominent.

i think the first one is better. nice framing. i dont think its overexposed tho... might just be my screen..

First one is nice but most of her face is a little blown out. If you can tone it down a little bit, I think it'll be a good picture. 2nd picture is over expose, makes it seem like her face is off focus.
