Not a fan of the first - doesn't grab my attention.

The second has lovely colours. However, maybe try a tighter crop on the frog - so it is just a green frog surrounded by purple petals.

The first one is out of focus, for me it would go straight in the garbage bin. I love the second shot but it would be much stronger if both of the frogs eyes were in focus

I like the second one as well I do agree with the others about a tighter crop on it. The first one does not grab my attention either.

I wouldn't throw away the first AT ALL. Try raising the curves a TAD bit. I like the shot. The frog shot is fun!

I also like the first one. Nothing wrong with narrow depth of field on flowers. I would crop the right a little to remove the bright spot in the middle (or remove it digitally) and darken the yellowish area on the right.

I think the first one certainly has some value to it. It has some issues, but it is an interesting composition with repeating pattern and strong lines.

#2 is great. Well done. A narrow and pleasing color pallette, a balanced composition, pattern, texture, and an interesting subject that is something of a suprise.
