I'm afraid that this is the best that I got of a startled Brown Basilisk. Watching them run like that is just funny. The only thing funnier was when one was chasing another, both in full 2WD mode.

This was my second trip and neither was approached as a photographic opportunity, I'm looking for a place to retire.

But, one of these days, I'm going full Nat-Geo lizard documentary. I'll bring my good stuff and hide somewhere while my trusty side-kick flushes one towards me. All with a David Attenborough voice-over...."When startled, the Brown Basilisk will set a blistering pace..."
