Me too, me too! The herons I've seen are always quite far away, or hiding in the reeds.

I was a bit lucky, I was only about 4 meters away using a 200mm lens, it was to busy looking for fish in the stream and couldn't care less about me walking up to it, although I was on the other side of the stream
