365 Day Project - Complete

[MOREGONE]

On 12/13/13 I started my "Selfie" 365 +1 project. And on 12/13/14 I completed it. Whoooooohoooo

It was seriously an awesome project. Challenging to look at each day and think how you can incorporate a picture into it, make it new, unique and lets be honest, convenient. I can say for sure it has advanced my craft and raised my personal self awareness. I don't recommend it lightly as it is a serious commitment but the reward is awesome. I know have an art project, complete, that is a glimpse into a very fun year of my life. A year that included my honey moon in Costa Rica, my fifth Coachella and my first Burning Man. What a great year!

Did you do anything with your project after completing it? Display it at an art show/gallery or anything?

I am considering trying to figure out how to participate in a local event called First Friday's. Not sure I would want to pay for 366 prints and then figure out how to display them etc.. But I would like to do something more than just post them to Flickr and call it a day

I actually just made a photo book from artifact uprising this weekend. I am so excited to get it in my hands. Mine are family memories and the album ended up being 200 pages...about 16 pages a month It was expensive yes, but worth it IMO. I don't want my photos dying on my HD.

A 365 day project is one where you set out to take a photograph each day for an entire year.

The theme of the project can vary or be left completely open for each day to decide what the picture will be for the day. Some people do 365 Street Photography, 365 landscapes, etc. My project was a "Selfie" project in which I made sure I was in each picture in some way. Sometimes it was a reflection, sometimes it was a shadow. But I am in each photo someway, somehow.

Good question. I took a couple thousand pictures for the project and kept 1 a day. But it really is a personal project. Make it what you want! If one exposure a day is your challenge, go for it!
