4-12-06 lightning

Some garden variety storms came through my area last night. The bolts were quite distant. (15 to 20 miles away) The first 3 shots were taken with my 14mm and cropped. The last one was taken at 70mm. First storm shots of the year. (Takes deep sigh of relief)

i think those are the storms that are supposed to end up over here tonight. maybe i can catch some similar shots if i do get some. really cool shots, i cant wait to try to get some lightning shots of my own

I like all this lightning in your photos, as you are the expert on weather pics up here, I must say. But I would not really like this kind of storm around me... whoa, thunderstorms have always scared me. It's no longer as bad as it was when I was a kid, but way back then... no going there any more... I hated them.
