Another in the 1:1 stitched image series. 17 images. Shot with G16, ISO80, F5.6, 1", MF, CWB. B&W conversion with green filter (to bring out the texture on the vintage chest background). Lit solely by the lantern (converted by myself to run on 240v bayonet style bulbs, vintage bulb fitted)

To me it's a wonderful shot. May be too much on the middle tones, but it's a personal-taste issue. Very good shot!

i think its a good shot as well. I like the theme. Reminds me of when i was a kid going through some of my dads old chests. Anyways i was wondering why do the big stitch of 1:1 shots. Seems like this could have been done as a single? I have never done stitching before and just wanting to learn.

Using the G16 has its limitations: DoF, resolution, FoV, noise, etc. I have made a few stitched images which increases the megapixel count (from 9mp from one shot to around 36-40mp on avg from stitching), detail, and also gives the image more of a medium format look (or that's what I'm trying to go for). I do it as a project and I would like a large print of one of the images, once I have something I'm entirely happy with.

Got a few more project ideas on their way too, it just gives me focus and helps me develop a personal style. I take a lot less snapshots because I focus on ideas and visualise them beforehand, so my keeper:binner ratio has gone up significantly.
