40D Problem - Shutter button doesn't make the click.

I have the same problem with my 40D. Could be that I have over 40K actuations on it in less than a year, but the problem started earlier this year. does not happen all the time and occurs in low, normal and bright light also. AF or MF does not matter either. Wierd thing is, even my shutter remote will not fire the thing off sometimes. That was the clincher for me to have it looked at. That and all the freakin' missed photos. I spoke with support and they said just to send it back. Going to ship it off to Canon tomorrow since rain is in the forecast here for the next week or so.
