430 ex II flash help

I have a 50d and 430 ex II flash. I plan to use the flash off camera on a light stand. What kind of cord do I need to buy to connect the camera to the flash? I would like to spend less than $25 shipped for this cord, and I do NOT care about ettl, I would however like to have the cord atleast 6 ft. long.

The thing about cables though is that you're on a leash. If you're okay with not having ETTL capability, Cheap eBay Chinese triggers actually work really well for the price, extend your range, and there are no cables to get tangled up in or trip over (pulling your gear crashing to the floor with it!).

You'll need either a male pc to hot shoe cable or a hot male foot to female hot shoe cable. Either will work. Maybe you can find one on eBay shipped for that cheap.

Still wondering why you want to go with a cable?

I took a risk on one of the Hong Kong knock offs on ebay and it works great. It actually preserves the ettl data and is much more solid than I expected. I am not sure if this is the vendor I got it from, but it was an ad like it.

$13.30 shipped. Certainly is worth the risk vs $120 from Canon for a similar item.

Well if you're going to be this picky about what you want, why don't you take the information in your original post and google it.

Since that's what everyone else is doing for you.

Do you think that they're going to find any hidden products on the internet that you couldn't find with the same search? Maybe after you find a few products, you could come back and ask for opinions or reviews of specific items.

But for what you've already posted, you could have done the research yourself.
