I sort of like the blown out background almost converging with the subject here.

All taken with EOS 40D and Canon 50mm at f/1.8 I think. #2 isn't really a good photo. Just liked the reflection

The pics are rather dark, a little wrong focused also I presume..and I don't like their colour temperature.. #5 is good!

I say forget about the colours in the last shot. It's moody, I think. It was a grey and overcast day.

The snow looks grey...

I've heard (and practiced) that you should overexpose by ~1 stop to make the snow white.
