Sorbet = is a frozen dessert made from fruit pulp, sugar and water.

Sherbert (or sherbet, I think I've seen it spelled both ways) = is a variation of sorbet in which cream is added. Smoother in texture and usually preferred in the US. But I prefer sorbet and make my own. Really very easy with the right tools.
