7 Years... (Warning - Photography of Children)

Well, if you clicked on the thread, you can't be too annoyed by kids. This is a photo of my son at 1 yr in CA and 7 yrs in TX.

He had just opened his presents from mom & dad - a new skate board and a pair of Vans... he was a real happy camper! I can't believe 7 years have gone by!!

I was trying to burn out the stairs behind him... I didn't notice the halo until I uploaded to flickr... oh well... I'll go back and fix it later.

The first picture is very cute. If he were staring off seriously into the direction of the negative space of the photo, that image would completely rock, but... cute little guy back then.

The second pic -- mormally I'd criticize a glow like that. Frankly, I think the image is stronger because of it, at least at the resolution you've posted. Nice use of some pretty contrast-y light overall and a good pose. Looks 'staged but relaxed'.
