7d mark ii shooting tethered

I recently purchased a 7d mark ii and hooked it up to lightrooom to shoot tethered and it didn't work. I got a black screen with a computer icon on the back of my camera. does lightroom not support it? Has anyone else experience this? Thanks

Lightroom does support your model camera.

I've tethered to my 7D mk ii a couple of weeks ago and it was just fine. (I use LR CC)

Have your tried it with the Canon software to eliminate a hardware problem?
