I agree it needs to have some texture added to it, as far as water marks, if you display your work then there are always going to be people that will be willing to steal it. The only way to keep that from happening is to keep it to your self. Art work is meant to be seen, otherwise what is the point. You still own the rights to it, if you can prove someone else took it and made money you always have the rights to sue them. I know that isn't much of a solace but it is a harsh world. If you think you will sell them one day no reason you can't, you still can if you can find a willing buyer.
