A birthday gift.

My mother asked for black and white photos of white flowers for her birthday to put in their guest room. What do you guys think of these? I'm a little nervous as this isn't really something I've done before.

They're all nice, but I think the first one is the really special one. I love the way the light and shadow plays on the petals themselves and the background bokeh is kind of trippy (in a good way!) - makes it look like more shadows on a wall or screen or something. I even like the little ant on the right flower. The whole thing feels unexpected and makes me want to keep looking.

The line of spider silk on the second one is a bit distracting to me and the area in sharp focus is also in shadow, which is detracts just a little.

The third one is my next favorite one, again because it's a little unexpected with the downward orientation of the flowers, the nice creamy background, and the dancing light and focus.

Fourth one is really nice too, but I am not drawn to it like I am the first and the third.
