Does anyone know where to buy a cheap light tent?
I've saw some kit on eBay for like $50 including the tent and 2 lights and similar prices on Amazon too.
But I'm just wondering if that's the better deal?
Or is it better to buy just the tent then the lights separate?
Is it better to have 2 lights or 4 lights?

Suggestions/Links? ;)

Thanks!

get a cardboard box and cut out square holes leaving just a "frame". Cover it with your material of choice (bedsheet, shower curtain, etc) buy cheap work lamps from the hardware store. done

Rockstar got it. Ghetto is the cheapest and best. Strobist for all of your ghetto needs.

and if you want something a little more durable you can make a frame out of pvc pipe instead of cardboard.

I made a couple of these DIY $10 Macro Photo Studio off the strobist website. However, they don't travel well. I wound up getting one of these 28" light tents from Alzo Digital and am quite happy with it. I shoot pottery every now and then whenever my friend throws some clay and needed to shoot at her studio.

haha, very creative. Thanks for the tip guys. I think I might try that and save myself $50+

old tent poles with the bungee string inside + white transparent shower curtain = massive light tent for under $15.
you can set it up in whatever arrangement you would like
