Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
I was invited to photograph a dress rehearsal of "A Christmas Carol" at my parents' church. This is my first time working in low light conditions like this. All in all I think it went pretty well for my first time. Positive comments and critiques please

Here are some of my favorites

Well, obviously your shutter speed was too long for you to hold your camera when you were zoomed in. It worked ok in the last (not zoomed), but the others suffer from blurriness, either because you could not longer focus well, or because you had camera shake.

The only one i really notice it in is the second. I dont see it in the others.

Here are some others

...Positive comments and critiques please....
Comments can be positive, but any critique that doesn't identify the various technical and artistic deficiencies with the images you posted is essentially useless for you as far as the pace of your growth as a photographer.

But, it's certainly your call.

I basically meant no comments like "the photo is awful" etc...

Again these were from my absolute first time shooting in low light. I'm looking for ways I can improve for when I do it next time, based on these shots.

Hi,

My feelings
@1 : a wrong white balance? may be you desired a candle light feeling and OK. fill in flash was needed; look at the eye-valley of the protagonist in the frame

@2: i think oof, which is my usual problem also ;)

@2, @3 : it would be better if you included head completely

@4 : an excellent shot
@5: a bit loose focus
@6: the expression on the fac e of the girl adds a charm to this well timed shot
@7: the boy should have been focused more; lady closed here eyes

PS: People are asking for "positive criticism" may be because in many threads here, at least some gentle men are making humiliating remarks and making it is a fun-time among friends... . The fact is that the points they raise are perfect and really useful to correct; hope they toned down their comments to a sympathetic temper

Regards :D

Thankyou for the input frequency, this is exactly what i was looking for. As for using a Flash, I was afraid it would distract the performers. But I definitely see what you mean.

And as for focus do you mean what subject the viewer's eyes are drawn to or do you mean how blurry?
