A Cold Hike

Yes my last couple posts have a theme . These were taken during a recent pre-happy hour hike with the DW...temp started at 19* and cooled off to 16* 45 min later back at the car. Attempted a B&W conversion for the bench shot. C&C always welcome.

#2 is wonderful, wintery w/ blue-ish tint highlighting barren bench to emphasis desolation and frigidness. #1 is also a nice landscape, but #2 draws me in w/ bench. A wide shot w/ a bit of both may be perfect.

They certainly convey that feeling of cold isolation. Job done imo.

Thank you. I’d like to go back sometime early after a heavy snow to capture the bench without all the footprints around it.

Nice set. #2 looks nicest but the trail going through the woods in the first pic beckons me to walk it so #1 for me.
