Thanks for looking!

Karl, nice images. Would you care to share the details of the technical stuff for these - speed, aperture, ISO, exposure compesation (if used), etc. Thanks.

Thanks for asking. :)
These are fantastic shots and ones I would most certainly hang on the wall!! I am an Eagle maniac and have tons of pictures on my wall of them and none of them are as good as the Bald eagle in flight!! Spot on!! :)

As someone who struggles to photograph a f:sexywink:king hummingbird, the first shot amazes me. Awesome capture, I look forward to seeing more from you.

Fantastic exposure and sharpness. I'm guessing a 500 or 600f4? Im only viewing on my iphone.. Personally I think the first shot would be even more powerful with a slightly different crop removing some of the pine from the left. Truly amazing shots!

Very cool. Each have their own merits but for me #2 is the best. Great job.

Wow. Two great pictures. Some of the best I've seen on here.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. These were shot using a Canon 7D and 500mm f/4 lens. On the first shot, the ISO was set at 400 and exposure was 1/160 second at f6.3. No Exposure compensation. The second (flying) shot used ISO 800 with an exposure of 1/1250 second at f/5.6. Exposure compensation of -1/3. It was a dark, cloudy day which made it very difficult to capture any eagles that were flying...

Just a awsome shot of a great bird.

Great shots! Wish I could even see an eagle that close! Think the closest I've seen eagles in our area is when they were circling waaaay overhead, probably 1000 feet up. Of course they won't come to me, I need to go and find them.
