A few artsy fish eye photos

Got the Nikon 10.5 fisheye lens this week.....experimenting with what it can do, I know I can fix the distortion in lightroo, but like them like this. Please tell me what you think

don't pay too much attention to what I am gonna say but it's too much color ... too saturated ...

A tighter shot of the elk(?) in the first photo would be less distracting. I really like the second picture; I feel as if I'm there.

Between the distortion and the overcooked HDR tonemapping.... I got dizzy, fell down, and puked! And that was without tequila! (of course that is my opinion, and other will have different ones!)

Might work in a Dazed and Confused set, though! (I hated that movie also!)

Kewl....as I said its my first time out with the fisheye....lots to learn. It's not for everybody or everything....it's just a fun lens.

If you ever make it to AZ and cruise thru Westgate, my colors are not far off....its a very bright colorfull place....It where everyone shops and has dinner before and after the Games at the Arena next door.

the flag poles appear as part of the boat making the boat appear to be going fast on that trailer!

I really like the set, including the color saturation which works for me here. And I agree about liking them as they are, without the distortion adjusted. But let me ask a general question: Why would anyone buy such a fun, extreme lens and then want to "correct" the distortion. For me, that is part of the attraction of the lens. It's not like one is trying to take interiors for real estate sales. I think the whole concept of "correction" has to be taken in context. When I look at a lot of HDR images, I find myself thinking, "That could be corrected." Enough said, I'm sure. And by the way, about that photographic triangle . . .
