A few from the Stables - C&C Welcome

I was out taking some pictures at the family stables and here are two photos in their original form and after some basic editing. Constructive feedback is most welcome, as I'm fairly new to the photograph game.

Both are over exposed and over saturated and a bit soft but both edits are also much better than the originals. Why not try to get closer so that you don't have to crop so much? that would help a lot with the sharpness.

In addition to what Snakeguy said, when you are framing the image - leave more space in front of the horse (or any subject) than behind, it's much more visually pleasing.
