A few lens questions for Canon users -

I am going to get this lens if it works - just a few questions on it -

will this work for my canon rebel xsi? (It says EOS on it - so i'm sure this is a dumb qusetion - just dont wanna spend that $$ and then feel like a retard if it doesnt work)
is this one of canons "L" lenses?

Yes, it will work on your camera.
No, it's not an L lens.

FYI:
All Canon EF lenses will work on all EOS cameras.
Canon EF-S lenses will work on all digital Rebel models, XXD cameras and the new 7D (but not on film, 5D or 1 series EOS cameras).

Canon L lenses, have an L in their name. For example, EF 17-40mm F4L or EF 24-105mm F4L IS.
