Ok here are a few of my fav shots I did when I first got my camera (not too long ago). I would love to see what others think and would love some C&C.

Sorry I couldn't insert the actual image, it wouldn't work for me so this was the best I could do.

Anyone?

I'm still an amateur, but here's my thoughts for what they're worth.

1. Seems decently composed but the faces looks airbrushed and featureless.

2. Everything is out of focus and lacking any detail. I really want to see the eyes sharper because there is an amazing variety of colors going on there. Lighting is nice bright and even.

3. Looks like a snapshot due to boring, crooked, straight on composition. Cement floor looks dirty.

4. The vignette effect, b&w, and angle work well. Her face is a little underexposed. Seems like the guy is cropped a bit much.

5. Composition would look better if you took a couple steps around to the left to show his face and add some angle to the background. Tops of the flowers and the couple's feet are chopped off. The sunflowers look beat up. My eye keeps going there trying to find something interesting but finding nothing.

6. I like how he doesn't have that normal "look at the camera and say CHEESE" face that kids are trained to give. Face need a little more light. The crooked angle isn't working for me. Feet are chopped off and the sandles are distracting to me for some reason. Barefoot or some plain looking shoes might look better.

Are you applying a blur effect to everything? It works sometimes, but other times, just no.

I think they are over processed, it's easy to get carried away, try cutting back a little. Cute subjects!

The post processing can use some refinement, but not bad for being some of your first pics.

yup...soft, especially 1 and 2

4 - should see more of the future dad, head/elbow cut off

6 - feet cut off

Work on the softness, as said and watch the DOF...

Keep at it and thanks for posting.
