A Horse’s Soul Is Revealed Through Their Eyes. Take A Look…

Nice interpretation, Photo Lady. Horses make great subjects, and you clearly have a personal connection. The B&W one of Matthew is also really nice. I was out shooting the "superbloom" in California a few weeks back, and caught this scene with three horses grazing along the road. As I approached to take the picture, two of the horses crossed the street:

I did not quite get the connection yet, but I approached this one (a mare):

During this time, this stallion was getting pretty perturbed:

At first I was not sure exactly why. Maybe he just wanted to be with the other horses? I did not think it was due to me being there because horses are pretty used to people, and he was perturbed long before I got close. Then a moment later after I took the mare's portrait, she just walked right past me to the stallion, and it all made sense:

what beautiful photographs and beautiful story... i quess the mare got out of the pasture somehow and wanted to meet up with her lover... love how all the photos tell the story ...love how all the horses look so well kept ... and the scenery is just breathtaking.... thank you for posting

I really like the composition and the colors of the photo. I just wish, if they eye is the subject, that I could actually see the eye more clearly. It seems a bit too dark. I'm really not one for insisting on seeing every detail, but I think too much of the eye is getting lost.
