A JC Penny Lens?

This ebay auction is selling a Jc Penny lens...I'm kind of reluctant to buy this, but it seems to have good range and price...??

If you can pick it up cheap, what the heck! I had a JC Penny 28-70 for my old Canon AT1 a bunch of years ago. That one was made by Sigma and I had pretty good results from it.
