A learning experience: golden hour natural light photoshoot with Jessica

A couple from a recent portrait session. I swapped around between my D800 and my OM-D for this one. I was aiming for a specific style, but I don't think I completely nailed it. I do think I got some good images, though.

Lessons learned:

Trying to approach a golden hour shoot like this is HARD on a camera's autofocus system.

I was trying for the blown-out, hazy, sun-flare-y style that's pretty popular, so I approached it with no reflector, no lighting equipment, and even intentionally left my lens hood off. All these things combined may have been too much. I am going to re-shoot this with my model in a few weeks and try some different things.
 
I think the haze is a bit much on #3. I would leave on the lens hood. You can get plenty of haze with a lenshood on. As far as lighting/clarity goes, #2 is the best IMO.

This is a great spot to practice back lighting because of the nice dark background. You got some really nice rim lighting in these.
