Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Ok...saw this moose on the side of the road and had to quickly snap the picture before he ran away so it's not perfect but I'll take some constructive criticism on it if ya don't mind! I'm still learning my editing tools so I'm sure there's more I can do in that respect.

Did he pee all over the ground when he saw you?

I suppose you are referring to the yellowish looking ground? lol It didn't look yellow before I stuck it on this page. Whoops! That will be the first thing I fix.

haha Same here...I thought man what yellow snow! lol

Dammit! Ok I tried again...less pee like?

I realized the other day that Moose are really photo shy animals. Funny cause if you get out with a camera in hand, they take off, but jump out just to get a look and they come charging at you like a crazed komodo dragon. Anyways, A for effort but I'm sure as spring makes it way here, you'll get a lot better shots and I'm stoked to see them. The green tint is a bit better for sure.

Crap! I guess I really don't know how to photograph (edit) snow. On my original it's reallllllly blue.

When all else fails...eliminate all color :P Fail?

Check the colorspace you are in. If it looked normal in photoshop or whatever, and drastically different when uploaded to the web, the colorspace is probably set to something other than sRGB. Nice shot, but I don't think the angle and everything is working out to your advantage. Its cool just to have a pic of a moose though. Sometimes its hard to weigh the "cool pic cause I got an elusive animal regardless of how blurry, odd the composition, or small the subject is etc" against "cool pic cause I got a really great composition/angle/event etc" Perhaps with some better editing though, this would take on a whole new life, who am I to say.

Hahahaha Goonies, yea you're totally right. I only really like this photo cause it's of a moose and the moose provided me with a chance to (crappily) edit a photo which I am obviously terrible at. I like just clicking on random things in Lightzone and Bibblepro to see what happens.

On another note I'll have to look into this colorspace RGB thing and see if that's the case. Most likely my eyes are screwed in wrong.

Photo editing is not easy at all so it's not something to beat yourself up over. I'd definitely find a software that you really enjoy and find a well written tutorial on that software. Youtube has some awesome tutorials on editing as well in multiple formats. I took a class in college on editing and was blown away by how much there is to learn. Good luck and I love the black and white of that.

Thanks Danny :) I suppose it is better than the others. Now that Im on my home computer I'm laughing at how YELLOW my snow is. It really looks yellow on this computer. And you're right, there's a ##$%^&#ton to learn about editing. Im currently using a trial version of LightZone (which I like) and Bibblepro (which is very slow on my computer). It doesn't help that all these editing softwares cost a fortune (anything over $40 bucks is a lot on my limited budget). So I want to make sure I spend wisely. Which software have you come to like?

I like your moose!
Snow is really hard to get right!
Every time you try to get one of these spur of the moment pictures you get better at it!
Good work!
