A newbie

Hello folks

I joined this forum just now and glad to be along this crowd. Im infact trying for a quantum jump from the world of digital compact cameras to the big world of DSLR. I've been a photography enthusiast from my childhood but couldnt yet own an SLR due to the $ involved and nature of job i am in. But as of now i felt it is time now to take the leap forward and thus decided to go for new DSLR cutie. Now, i've a few in my mind which comes arround my budget - 600$. I would like your valuable comments on Canon Xsi, Xs and Nikon D 3000. I would go for one among these three. If someone can help me out to choose, i would be so happy.
