A newbie's first try. (Sunset, portrait, and everything in between)

First, of all, this is my first try, and also my first topic on this forum, so please don't be too harsh.
Here are some photos I took on my trip to Vietnam for a family member's wedding. I am in no way a professional, I just like taking pictures of people and things. These are some selected ones that I find the best. I'm not taught of composing, lighting, or how to take a great photo, this is just how I see it, how I like it, through my eyes. Enjoy.

This last one I took with my phone, not a professional level looking at all, but I thought it was a cool and beautiful picture of mother-daughter moment.

Hi Alvintran, and I'm happy to see you posting! Couple of issues here - some of your attachments aren't showing up - all I'm seeing are the shots of the wine glass. Also - a better way to get feedback on your work is to only post a couple of images at a time per thread - and also, post by category here in the Galleries. People, Landscape, etc. Easier for people to look at a couple of images and give you more worthwhile feedback. Keep posting!!

#4 & #5 are my favorites. You should level the ocean in #4. I can't tell the size of the lanterns in #1.

Thank you! In photo number 1, the 3 candled 'lanterns' were on a bridge, close to the camera, and all the other lights and lanterns are on the other side of the river, so they appear small.
