Nice pic. Careful, I think he's trying to tell you something and he has a bill & claws.

An awesome picture! Where do Duckbill Platypus's live?

In waterways along the coastal strip in the east of Australia. Here in Tasmania most permanent waterways will host a resident population of Platypus, usually one male and two or three females. They have a number of burrows along the riverbank where they tend to hole up during the day in the warmer months, winter time they can be active throughout the day.

Thanks for sharing. Don’t see these every day.

Nice pics, really like the first one a bunch. :)

Mostly......but I’m sure it’s been on someone’s menu. Jeff Bezos eats iguanas.

No one here in Australia eats platypus. They are endangered due to the effects of drought, land clearing etc.
Lets hope Jeff Bezos doesn't head down here!

.....probably tase a lot like muskrat, I’d think they have similar diets.

Not to change the subject. But I noticed you mentioned Australia. Australia would be an excellent place to photograph birds. Has anyone started a thread with bird pics from Australia?
