i cant believe how still the water was for that first shot. wow!

as for the second shot, i like the subject matter, but i dont like their location within the picture, it might look better with them placed off to the right hand side

Very nice. For #1, I would suggest dropping the exposure about 1/2 stop and increasing the saturation a little bit to make the colours pop. For #2, I agree with spiffy; I'd like to see the boat moved a little to one side or the other.
