AB vs WL

I'm looking at getting some home studio flash, pref w/modeling lights, and maybe doing some on-location photography..

I've heard White Lightning and Alien Bees are basically one in the same, by Paul Buff. A few people have told me to look into these..

Anyone have any opinions on these?? Should I steer towards or away from either of these setups??

Both are good quality lights, the WLs are a bit higher end, but both will get the job done. I've had a very good experience with my AB800s, so make sure that you need the extras that the WLs are offering before you go with them over the Bees.

I have Alien Bee lights and have been quite happy with them, but I don't have much experience with other brands.

You might also consider Elinchrom, I believe their D-Lite series are fairly affordable.
