I ride a motorcycle myself but this kind of thing is just wrong. It's the kind of thing that sparks road rage.

Why can't they obey the traffic laws?

I fell asleep after a few minutes did anything happen....?......

Yeah, it's different if it's an official event but these guy's looked as if they were just holding up traffic without any right to. Made me laugh when they complained about 1 driver getting close and trying to get past them as being dangerous when they were stopped in the middle of a junction blocking traffic which had a green light.

I can see logic in holding up the traffic for a few moments to allow the bikes to complete their turning as a block rather than intermingling cars and bikes en-mass or having the group broken up into a large number of subgroups. Considering all the bikes that they pass on the way it looks like its a pretty large convention either formal or informal. Sometimes the rules of the road have to bend a little to accommodate practicalities of reality. Though it would have been better to have had police attend to help organise the flow of bikes if at all possible.

To me its one of those things where if it happens once its probably fine, its more an issue if they were holding up multiple turnings over the day and causing undue stress, confusion and holdups to the local traffic on a larger scale.

Idiots! There's a 'pack mentality' that develops anytime you have a large group together, and it seems especially prevalent with motorcyclists. They feel that because they're a group, they're entitled to special privilege. I hope that someone in one of those cars called the police and at least a few of them are going to be walking to work for a while.

Ha! It's definitely not action packed, just a-hole packed

That's what they did, they held up local traffic on a large scale causing undue stress and confusion.

Funeral escort service is provided by off-duty police or private contractors, and the funeral participants have to pay for it.

I doubt if any on-duty police would want to be involved in some way with this group of hellions, other than to issue citations. Exceeding the posted limit, failure to obey traffic signals, obstructing traffic.

Reminds me of all the bicyclist here In St. Louis that do not stop at any stop signs, they just ride through and hope they don't get hit.

If someone had gone through on their green and a biker ran into them they would've been screaming they had the right of way and a bunch of them would've attacked the driver of the car, what a backward society it's becoming.

They're not so much "hoping", as defying drivers to hit them. They even teach their children that behavior.

1. Make sure dash cam is on
2. Drive through intersection while bikers are turning left through a red light
3. After collision, contact good accident attorney
4. Start planning your trip to Hawaii

:)

It seems that other rallies much prefer to obey the traffic laws in order to improve their public image.

I've seen motorcycle rallies and car rallies that hold their members to account regarding the law. Safety first, obey all laws, be courteous to other drivers, pick up your own trash, etc.

Somewhere back in the mists of time I also rode bikes, our club had rally’s and night rides.
But we used to plan them with the local police. If we were told to avoid this town then we did. In the end a few new bods ruined it for the rest, and in a few month all the goodwill that had taken years to earn was lost. At that point many including me left the club.
We often have bike rally’s here and yes the will block a junction to ride out on mass but it seems friendly with thanks given to those drives they make wait.
