Uh oh, her upper body part is absent.

I like the ruinous tone of #2, but the geometry of #3 grabs my attention.

Nice series.

I love the transition in shapes and depth in all these shots, it has a great abstract feel. From 1-4 the frame becomes increasingly filled, losing space and definition between foreground, mid-ground, and background. The last shot blows me away, but only as part of the series; as the final picture I'd expect some sort of conclusion, yet it's just these ads and posters (a shift in content as well), and I guess you could refer to it as a statement of sorts though I wouldn't want to get too specific about it.

Damn fine work Helen, I really love these.

Very nice, I really like the third one. All of them convey the message "absent"

Thanks for the comments. Very interesting, as always.

I deliberately left the captions off, for various reasons. Here are the captions:

New York:

World Trade Center. Remains of parking garage after clean-up.

World Trade Center. Wall of 'bathtub' after removal of debris.

Jersey:
Two images of Exchange Place PATH Station. Disused during rework following 9-11 attack. Second image shows graffiti on Ford advert: 'We shall overcome - and then we are coming over!' dated Sept 11, 2001.

Best wishes,
Helen
