still bored...and it's cold outside. thought it was dumb at first, and after 5 minutes passed I realized I'm still staring at it.

I can dig it, but revealing what it is kills some of the appeal of an abstract.

true...guess i can edit out the revelation, lol

I don't know that it's even so much about the 'trying to guess game', though that's clearly an appeal for some people to some abstracts. I think for me, when I don't know what it is, I can just see the structure, color and texture. It's not 'disturbed' by all the preconceived notions I have about the subject. For me, the less I know about an abstract, the better. It becomes a pure visual image, devoid of any meaning, other than what I create, or at least that's what I've always felt is the point of an abstract.

that's why I altered the coloring of the box. had I left it brown, with the detail from shooting macro, it would be easily recognizable. I like abstracts to be 'unrecognizable' myself...adds to it I think.

Good one; why i don't see The same statement as in fjrabon's quote in OP's post.... i mean refering it to be a bar code

I edited it, but since he quoted me before I edited it...it shows in his post. lol

hrm, didnt notice that. Usually it says "last edited blah blah" I think it was like a minute after I posted. Odd.
