I am also going to visit Paris, but also Bottrop and The Netherlands (back home) as well. Now ofcourse i'll be taking my camera bag with me. Now I have the standard lens and a 55-200Vr zoom lens. Now funds will be a little tight for this trip so i'm looking for a wide angle lens that will be sharp ofcourse, but also affordable, when i'm saying affordable i'd love for it to be around the 400 dollar range. Now remember, i'm in Canada so shipping from adorama and B&H will add about 50-60 bucks.

Have you looked at Vancouver's Craig's List and Used Vancouver? Should be something decent there.

I haven't yet, i'm currently at work and those sites have been blocked here so. This is one of the few websites I am able to access while at work, if I couldn't access it, I would quit this job lol.

My 17 year old brother.
He left about 7 months ago now for a years long rotary yout exchange. When my older brother moved out 3 years ago, Rob and I became best friends, we walked to and from school every single day, we played rugby together on the highschool team, and I coached him after I graduated, I am his football teams photographer. I love this kid more then I can express.

He was asked to play semi-pro football in Dusseldorf, and he will be playing when I am there.

So i've been researching a little here just by googling stuff. Now, I think i'm stuck between three options here.

Option #1: Sigma 10-20, Read more the a few good reviews on this lens but the price is around $650.00 new.
Used however is more in my price range and alos I love the HSM which I do believe means it will AF on my D40x

Option #2: Tokina 12-24, Also read alot of reviews on this lens that made me more then happy.
However I do believe this lens will NOT AF with my D40x. Price I saw for around $400.00 (used)

Option #3: Tokina 11-16, This lens is my favorite of the three because of the f2.8, but it also WILL NOT
AF on my D40x which kind of bugs me, also the price used is around the $600.00 mark.

I'm torn guys.

Wanted to start another thread but I dug this one up instead. I really just need a good walk around lens for when we go. I am starting portraiture as well and I would love absolutely love to have a wide angle lens. Then again, couldn't I just use the wide angle for some portraits?
