Adobe illustrator CS5 just crashed and I hadn't saved my work...is there any way to restore?

Illustrator create temporary files ending in " .tmp " for example #####.tmp in Windows; or Temp##### XXXXX aMac.... (### XXXXX XXXXX of numbers)

Look for a file ending .tmp in the folder where your file is saved, try open opening these in illustrator.

If the .tmp file is not present Then I'm afraid the news isn't good. Unfortunately there is no automate feature in CS5, so regular apple+s is one option. Or try this utility Illustrator Recovery Toolbox. May be some data be able to recover.
