Advice for Hot Air Balloon Festival?

I went to a large one 2 years ago, the flight was postponed, and we had to leave the next day, but that night they did a light the sky, with the balloons on the ground. Really neat, so colorful. Unfortunately this was also the night my K30 bit the dust, so they aren't as sharp as I would have liked

Shooting a hot air balloon festival tomorrow. I’ve never been to one, know nothing about it, and have no idea what to expect.

Anyone have any advice?

Get up early and be there for dawn patrol. Arrive to see them filling the balloons with the flames in the dark while they are on the ground. Keep an eye out for them manuevering up and down. Have a shot where they crossed a pond barely touching down on the water several times across. Get a shot of the sky full of balloons.

But if you do make sure you have your camera. Wouldn't want to miss all those fantastic views.
