I've been taking a few pictures here and there for about a year, up until my camera was stolen. Now I've decided to get back into what I loved so much.
But the problem is I now have a film camera.
and I am clueless.
Any tips or pointers to help me out with this Canon AE-1 Program?

Manual here. :)

If this is your first time using a film camera, I recommend getting hold of some very cheap (possibly expired) film first, just to practice with.

yeah, i took about 3 rolls of film, but didn't have them developed yet.
i was just wondering if anyone had idea for certain effects, or tips, or what not to do's

For different effects: use filters (try a circular polarizer, or coloured filters with black & white film).

Tips: Remember to set the film's ISO on the camera. When metering you could try to focus on something of fairly neutral tone like a mid-grey or green grass, until you feel more comfortable with metering and exposure.

What not to do: Open the back without unwinding the film first ;)

thanks zaph.
ill try some of that out!
