Hello All!

Here are a few photos from my very first roll of film on my canon ae-1 program.

settings used 1/125 f.10 1/250 f/11 1/500 f/10

film used: Illford HPS 400 B&W

My opinions...Take them with a grain of salt. No offence intended in any way.

1 - Nothing of interest in this particular shot. I like how the wind has captured her hair though.

2 - I wish the dog was looking at the ball coming at him. The shirt blowing off her back is a little distracting if you ask me. I like the fact that the ball is identifiable - a softball, right?

3 - Crooked horizon. Nice smile and good capture of emotion I think.

4 - Love this picture but I wish I could see a little more of the dog.
 
any other suggestions or tips? my next project for my film class deals self portraits. should be fun and ill post results once I get em uploaded. :)

what makes a B&W better? what should I be looking for when i'm looking thru the viewfinder before the click?
