AF-S 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5G ED oppinions

Whats your thoughts on this lens for some landscape shots on a D750 or do you think a fixed lens like the Nikon 20mm f/1.8G AF-S ED would be a better choice or something else that's around that same price range. Thanks

I have used them both, the 18-35mm is actually not bad. I thought it was nice sharp lens for the price. The only reasons I traded it for the 2omm 1.8 was most of my shots was taken around 20-24mm. Since I'm using the D800, I have some room for cropping. Then I wanted the 1.8 for night time star photos. This lets me run a slightly lower ISO vs F4 etc. Anyways, I'm no expert but I don't think you can go wrong with either lens.
