I am sure, this is a view Noah experienced. And I think his sight might have been as blurry after 40 days on the dark and smelly Ark.

Let's not talk about focus as it is somewhere. On my screen picture is blurred to the point, that nowhere I can find a patch with acceptable sharpness. Providing, that other pictures on the site I can see with it, you will understand my logic. . It looks a lot like my pictures when my hands are shaking.

OK then.
At 1/500 camera shake can't be a factor and f4 1s about in the middle for this one. Always felt that the A590 was fuzzy at most settings and probably got used to it. As far as acceptable sharpness is concerned, I agree with you that this subject does require more focus than there is here. Took a look at the frame previous to this taken a bit further away - just as soft. Thanks for looking timor.

That might be just this one example of A590. I use older models from A and S series (4mp) and 8x10 prints are fine.

Bought it as a good step up from my Kodak D3600 but always felt the Kodak sharper. Probably as you mentioned bad from birth but a good learner.

Thanks anyway bribrius. At the expense of starting another train wreck thread there is a huge difference between soft focus and out of focus. Posted this one mostly because I liked the tangled mess of the driftwood and the sky.
