~ AFTER THE RAINS ~

~ After The Rains ~ New England is host to many intermittent streams that realize highly increased flow velocity following periods of intense rainfall. I captured this small falls on a small stream this morning after listening to the rain pelting my roof throughout the night. A beautiful carpeting of verdant mosses cling to metamorphic rocks kept moist by the stream's Spring waters.

Kirk, I love the various shades and textures of moss. I have often used moss as a background for items I photograph.
