We got the rare Sandhills NC snow this week, so I thought it was a good time to make a nice evening snow field HDR. The rows are cut cotton stalks from this past harvest.

There seems to be some strange blue/black issues with the sky. I like it, but the color inconsistency in the sky ruins it for me.

is this using the hdr on the camera? I think its a nice photo

I bracketed within the camera, merged and edited with Photomatix and Lightroom. Some of the clouds were very dark and I liked the idea of parts of the sky being black surrounded by blue.

Hard drive space is cheep why delete the originals?

HDR always makes snow look horrible. I actually don't think this image needed HDR treatment in the first place.

No, it didn't need it, I just wanted it. Something about a crazy sky with snow on the ground that just interests me.
