When running a business, with all the legalities behind it, the last thing I would want to do is use pirated software. If **** ever hits the fan, I want things to be as clean as possible.

Same goes for paying taxes even though you are low income type thing

PS allows for a greater image manipulation than LR does. Although LR was done in consultation for photographers and is usually enough for 90% of my images. All depends on how you shoot and process

That's true, I guess, but in a pretty broad way. LR can store and access pics in a way that makes Bridge look sad. That's big for pros who'll have several thousand pics they need quick, easy access to. So yeah, in that way it was designed with photographers in mind, as well as it being great for batch processing. PS has a lot more editing capability than even a lot of pros will ever use. So in that sense, it's geared toward graphic artists. However, the editing capabilities work with a much finer stroke than LR's more broad strokes. So in that respect, it's also geared towards photographers.
