Age old question...GREAT GLASS or NEW BODY???

With the D700 and D3s's fundamental differences being only body rigidity and sealing I think I might opt for the D700 unless there's something about the D3s that warrants the 3K difference? Either way nobody...nobody has any in stock of either camera so it looks like I'll just be on the lookout for good used FX glass until such time as Nikon can get stable with the market.

Found and ordered a new D700 from Best Buy. With Tax I'm nearly $3K poorer but I really didn't want to deal with looking for a used body. Used glass, no problem but the body I want clean, just the way I am.

Now for Glass the only FX lenses I own are the 70-200 VRi f2.8 and the nifty 50 f1.8 the 24-70 should really fit my needs, comparable to the 16-85 as far as focal length on my 300s right?

I think I'll sell my D300s with the 16-85vr lens...anyone interested?
