His license allows him just like you, to uninstall your version with the key, and instill it on persay a new ocmputer you just bought?

That's all he did. It's not pirated so everybody chill and don't get your panties in a wad guys.

I'd be glad to get it for free..pirated or not:P i got lucky and got CS4 master suite from my high school

If you seriously want to do something with your photography, just man up and buy a copy of PS. You're not going to get any respect by pirating your software.

Rausch, be completely honest with me. Would you rather spend hundreds of dollars on your PS or would you rather get one for free, they both work flawless, neither is pirated, both do exactly the same. What would you do.

Complete honesty:
I'd rather use GIMP and know that I'm using a legal post-processing software, while saving up for the real deal. I don't respect those who pirate software, regardless if they plan on using it professionally or not. Sorry if it offends you, but that's my stance on the subject.

I'm not offended at all, i'm just curious as to why you would spend $600.00+ on post-processing software while the same thing was free and NON-pirated.

Can we change the title of the thread to: "Alright!! You got me!! I have pirated CS5!"

Of course the smartest thing to do when doing something questionable is to announce it to the world.

I'm with you, but I got my legally from school to work on project

I would have done the same, Bram. I'd have bitten his f*****g hand off, pirated or not. I got my copy about 18 months ago from a friend who worked for Adobe (he actually just left).

He got me 3 copies of Photoshop CS4 Extended (which was the latest at the time) and the Design Premium package (which includes another copy of Photoshop CS4), altogether worth £3000. I paid £150 (one hundred and fifty). :peacesign:

And while I agree piracy is wrong, I do love to watch copyrighted music videos, TV shows and movies on YouTube, so I couldn't really accuse you of wrong doing, even if I wanted to.

With all due respect SIR, you need to get off your high horse. Like Forkie said below, people download music, videos, and movies. I did not download or "pirate" my software. God forbid there is somebody a little wiser about something then you are. This kid can access his home computer from his little laptop at my house. He can access yours too if he wanted to probably.
Point being, just because you didn't think of it, doesn't mean its a horrible idea.
I did not pirate my software end of story.

VI, I get your POV from this but I mean who are we both to judge what this kid did. For all we know he used those windows to connect to his net work uninstall it and install it on my computer at home?

Although it wouldn't be impossible, his computer would have to be on and he would have to have premade batch files to do an automated uninstall and reinstall already made up. Why would a person have those on a flash drive with them? Also, is he going to uninstall it from your computer when he wants to put it on some one elses, or is he just going to install it wherever he likes from his thumb drive?

Hoorah for the bitter bandwagon? :meh:

Actually no he did not pirate it. He accessed his home computer, Un-installed his version, and installed it on my computer.

You asked some questions I do not know the answers to. What I can tell you is this. I am now able to use Cs5, LEGALLY. (in canada)

So he just merrily handed over his legal copy of a sought-after high-dollar software without a blinking an eye. Since you saved so much money, can I interest you in bridge I have for sale?

Congrats, your friend is a hack. As stated, your friend probably pirated the version. I don't know anyone who has a copy of PS on a thumb drive and would willingly give out a key. Most people that actually do that need their key for their own work, granted its a legal version. Just because people pirate everything else, does it mean you (or anyone else) should? God forbid there is somebody out there that has a little more ethics than you do...
