Altered state

Every since I quit drinking 20 yrs ago, photo processing software is about the only altered state I care to accomplish. Here's the latest...

California plant by Peeb (NEO-Images), on Flickr

BTW, somebody told me that this California plant was called a Spanish Dagger, but that doesn't seem to be right. ID by anybody?

Nicely done. Is that a yucca? Aloe Vera? Congrats on the sobriety.

Some guy on Flickr suggested that it was a "Torch Aloe" which makes sense.

The sobriety has done little to contribute to my maturity, but I suppose youth can fade even while immaturity persists!

I think I may have seen something like this a few times back when I was drinking!!!! Strange looking thing, but a very nice capture.
