Alternative use for a close-up filter

is a close-up 4+ useful in not-close-up shots? yes if your camera has too dof even if you use f2.8...:meh:

I'm confused, why was a close-up filter necessary?

'cause i have a bridge camera and it has too little control on the dof. Probably i mistook title and description, something else could be better. The original photo title on my site is Chain me, that's more suitable for it.
